Then&Now: The Return Of The Kimono

By the late 1960’s the fashion world was fascinated with the orient- especially the kimono. Originally from Japan, the kimono is a wrap style dress with bell sleeves. They were marketed as robes and lounge wear and women loved them. I’m happy to say that the kimono is back. After all, comfortable clothing is never out of style!

Then- Parted front and back to a deep V, the polyester chiffon kimono gently ties at the side from Sylvia Pedlar. This originally sold for $30 in 1967.

Now- A beautiful softly printed kimono in duck egg blue- by Toast.
