I am soooo having a short wedding dress. I’ve always said that and as I approach 30 and I’m single, marriage is happening anytime soon for me obviously – but if by some off chance I meet the man of my dreams in say, my 50’s – I will still wear a short dress – love it. Though friends and family may scoff, I’ve always known I will wear a short wedding dress. A-line, shift, babydoll, I love them all. I’ve never felt comfortable in long dresses anyway and why feel uncomfortable on one of the most important days of my life? For me, it just doesn’t make any sense not to go short!
I’m getting married in May and I have two short dresses! One modeled after Audrey Hepburn in “Funny Face” for the ceremony. And one very, very short Betsey Johnson “wedding-esque” dress for the reception

I actually got married in a knee length red fifties style dress, never regretted it, i looked fabulous and if i was to do it again, I would do it exactly the same way :)

The only wedding dresses I ever like are the short ones!!! This is a great list. I’ve already bought one I love, but now I want almost ALL of these!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE short wedding dresses and like another poster said , if I ever get married I will definitely be wearing a short one lol.
I particularly like the short ones on the Priscillia of Boston website or there is a stunner on the Amsale website too. Also check out candy anthony of London for a 50s style dress

There are also the 50’s style dresses like the ones Dolly Couture makes.
Petticoats are a must if you are going to have a short dress.
