One of the challenging parts about being your own blog editor is choosing what photos to show and not to show. ‘Outtakes’ is for all those that didn’t make the cut.
While taking pictures inside this vintage guitar store, the owner suggested I go down into the basement. I found rows of shelves filled with guitar cases along with one large work table.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
“I saw her sitting in the rain
raindrops falling on her
she didn’t seem to care, she sat there and smiled at me!!
Then I knew
(I knew, I knew, I knew, I knew!)
she would make me happy
(happy, happy, she could make me very happy)
Flowers in her hair, Flowers everywhere
I love the flower girl
Oh, I don’t know just why.
She simply caught my eye.
I love the flower girl,
She seemed so sweet and kind.
She crept into my mind
Suddenly the sun broke through
(see the sun).
I turned around she was gone
(where did she go).
And all I had left
Was one little flower from her hair…”

Blossom Dearie, the jazz singer with a child-like voice, died on February 7. I heard her popular song “I’m Hip” playing on the radio yesterday and thought I’d post it for those who are unfamiliar with her music.
