Place- We, along with close friends, scouted out the town of Brevard, NC for the day. If you’re in that area, I recommend making a stop at Underground Salvage, Co. They carry all kinds of hardware, doors, windows, sinks and reclaimed lumber.Thing- Local farmers warn me about the dangers of ‘false dandelion‘ and its toxic effect on horses.

A standard issue galvanized pail is elevated (literally) to become the sink for this clever bathroom by designer Brian Murphy.

Outside dining never looked so good. In fact, this picnic table and benches would be wonderful in a kitchen nook, too.
I spotted this avocado green door on a neighbor’s cabin. It’s such a bold, unexpected color against the weathered wood siding.

Fresh kohlrabi from the farmer’s market.
To prepare- Rinse in cold water, then with a sharp knife, peel bulbs thinly and slice or cut up. Eat raw as a snack.
