Update A Mid-Century Modern Kitchen

I’ve seen too many people make the mistake of a ripping out an entire kitchen in order to update. Think twice before doing it. Sometimes all that’s really needed is a few great furniture pieces, lighting or accessories to breathe new life into the space. This kitchen, for example, is in a home built in 1958. It still retains the original floor plan, painted cabinets, formica countertop and stove. Here are five things to consider adding-

1. Sconces (set of these)- Rejuvenation

2. Dinnerware in mint– West Elm

3. Wood stool– West Elm

4. Tea towel with vintage coffee pots- Crate & Barrel

5. Chain link fabric mimics floor pattern (use as shades)- Spoonflower
