Collecting Postcards

Most people collect postcards for the photographs or illustrated fronts. I save them for the messages on the backs. I can’t help but wonder who the senders and the recipients were. What were their stories? How were they connected to each other? And where are they now?

  1. Jane,

Thanks for the warm welcome back.

I’ve been collecting old postcards and autograph books…all with the curiosity of who the writer was. I can understand the sadness you feel in it…I feel it too. Perhaps it’s the sense of how short life really is.

  2. I have a collection of Christmas and Easter postcards. The message on the back is just as fun as the postcard itself.
