At our anniversary party last weekend, I made this simple centerpiece using pussy willows and red tulips. The idea actually came from an old Martha Stewart Living magazine. I covered a glass vase with moss and cut pussy willows just high enough to clear the rim. Then I used florist wire to hold both in place. The wire showed so I covered it with wide gray ribbon. Last but not least, tulips were removed of their extra leaves, cut and inserted into the vase.

I LOVE this project! My mum and I made it years ago for easter. If you store it properly it will last for a few years at least.
Unfortunately, we left ours in the basement and it got wet…we went down one day to discover it a great hairy blob of mold. But it was gorgeous while it lasted!
pretty pretty very jane packer-ish. i think i remember seeing that in martha. i hope you had a fun party!!
Anne- Thanks for the heads up on storing it…I’ll keep it out of the basement! :)
