Over the weekend, I came across this picture in Home Magazine from April 1986. I guess not everyone was following the popular trend of chintz. This living room is in an historic house with high ceilings, beautiful moldings and wood floors. Instead of going the traditional furniture route, the owners bought classically modern pieces- like the sofas, glass coffee table and tizio light to mix with their antiques. And what I find incredible is that the room is as fresh now as it was when decorated in 1986!
