Like this easel with spattered paint. If this were a famous artist, it would be for big $$$. I went to a preview for an auction by Keno Auction house in NYC in January. Up for auction was a framed palette with the artist’s brushes (about 4) glued on to the palette. It sold at the auction, I believe. I will find out and get back to you…in case you are curious. (I am very curious.)
BJ- Yes…I would be curious to know about that. Do you still have the auction booklet?
Well, I was incorrect. The palette of the American artist, John Haberle
(1854-1932), did not sell, the “lot passed” as indicated in the auction results.
BJ- How much was it going for? Do you know anything about the artist?
