After fifteen movie adaptions, the classic book ‘Jane Eyre‘ by Charlotte Brontë has another one scheduled for release in March 2011. And I can’t wait! Check the trailer here.
Can you believe the first Jane Eyre movie (actually a silent film) came out in 1915? Some of my favorites through the years- 1944 with Joan Fontaine & Orson Wells, 1970 with Susannah York & George C. Scott, 1983 with Zelah Clarke & Timothy Dalton and 1996 with Charlotte Gainsbourg & William Hurt.

Another excursion to North Carolina gave me and my sister some time to drive out into the more rural parts of the state. We came across this old farm house that was for sale. After calling the realtor on my cell phone, we were told the house was empty and were free to walk the property. I couldn’t help feeling nostalgic about it. My great-grandparents had a similar place in the midwest.

For a long time I wanted to do a series of fashion photo shoots for my blog. I never realized how much work they are and yet how much fun they can be. I’m just lucky that Margot and Hope were willing to jump on board for this. My vision was to do a collection of knitwear and denim photographed in some rustic settings. We gathered clothing from different places and brainstormed how best to style them. I used a tank of gas scouting out locations. And wouldn’t you know, I picked several unusually hot autumn days to photograph Hope in thick, wool sweaters. Now it’s ready for Nibs readers to take a look. Enjoy! :)
