On a hot July day we went to a friend’s wedding. The bride wore a lovely strapless dress. At the air-conditioned reception, I noticed how cold she got. There wasn’t much she could do but borrow her husband’s suit jacket. Too bad she didn’t at least have a coordinating sweater. So, as you plan your wedding, I would suggest adding one of these to your list- a stole, a wrap, or a bolero (shrug).

Here is a beautiful soft platinum marabou feather stole from Cassin. The bride’s dress is silver-blue taffeta with beaded lace at Eternity Birde.

For something truly unique try this made-to-order white lace and feather wrap by Basia Zarzycka. Underneath the wrap is a drop waist dress in ivory and pewter lace from Charlotte Balbier.

Here are two feathered boleros worn together- a green and a champagne- both at Sasso. The Amanda Wyatt wedding dress is stunning in white and gold lace.

They really add to the dress too. I can never be without a sweater…so this would be a must for me.
